Biographie
In 1995 Jagger first came into contact with electronic music through
the local clubbing scene and nightlife in Bonn & Cologne.
He was
deeply inspired by the Disco and Funky House sound played by big time
artists such as Frankie Knuckles, Todd Terry or Masters at Work and he
quickly became a dedicated supporter of the Electronic music scene.
Jagger began his professional DJing career in 1997. He has now been
DJing for over 10 years, playng at gigs worldwide, such as San Diego,
London or Melbourne.
His sound has developed through influences from
the UK Tech House scene, as well as the German tech/minimal scene,
creating a fusion of tech house and minimal house sounds.
In 2000 he founded the event company “Groove Adventure” in conjunction
with 2 fellow DJ..s, organising techno and house parties in Nightclubs,
old Warehouses or Open Air locations.
In 2002 they took over the
management of “Club Sause”, Bonn for 2 years, promoting young and
upcoming artists of electronic music.
In 2004 Groove Adventure split up and Shakin..Vibes
(www.shakin-vibes.de) was founded by Jagger and partner Peter Gallein,
starting off as an event/DJ promotion company, staging various regular
Techno/House club nights in a wide range of clubs across Cologne and
Bonn.
In 2006 Jagger took over the management as well as a DJ Residencyof a
Club in Cologne, the “Elektroküche”, which has in the 2 ½ years since
its opening established itself as Cologne best underground Techno Club,
hosting quality acts from the Techno scene such as Adam Beyer, Magda
& Troy as well as some of the pioneers of the UK Tech House scene
such as Silicone Soul, Eddie Richards or Nathan Coles.
Apart from
playing alongside all the gig name DJs, Jagger has no trouble rocking
the crowds on Residents nights, filling the club with supporters of his
driving, techy sets.
2006 saw the launch of his own label “Shakin’ Vibes Recordings”
(www.shakinvibesrecords.com) starting with releases by himself under
the guise of Soulmates as well as known Tech House artists such as
Richard Grey, Pure Science, Jay Tripwire, Grant Dell, Evil Eddie
Richards, Roland van den Toorn, Dibby Dougherty.
